Mother's Day, May 13, 2007

Preached about the 'Mother Heart of God" in Tamil Church and Telugu Christian Fellow Centre(TCFC), on Mother's day.

A brief outline of the Sermon

1. God Cares

Is.49:15 'Can a woman forget her nursing child, and not have compassion on the son of her womb?

Surely they may forget, yet I will not forget you.'

God cares more than a mother would care for a child. His care is so intense that even the hair of our head are numbered.

2. God Comforts

Is.66:13 'As one whom his mother comforts; so I will comfort you...'

There cannot be a better comfort than being comforted by our mother. If even the sparrows are taken care by Him how much more we; who are more precious than sparrows.

3. God Cautions

Matt.23:37 'Jerusalem... how often I wanted to gather your children together, the way a hen gathers her chicks under her wings.

The mother heart of Jesus is revealed here. A mother never hesitates to caution her children. Some times God's Word may not be what we want to hear; but it is always what we very much need. God's way is the best way for any one.
